Dinara Safina Officially Takes Number One Spot

Dinara Safina has officially taken the number one spot on the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour rankings this morning (April 20). It was announced at the beginning of April that she had taken the title away from American player Serena Williams. Dinara is only the second Russian to reach the number one position. She joins Maria Sharapova.
