obv, like every other cricket buff, i knew abt the incident, i knew abt the bowler, i knew abt the greg’s (under)hand in it… wat i didn’t know was that NZ had needed 7 off the last ball to win the match. if Oz couldnt have lost the match except on a no ball and a six at the same delivery (which was the reason behind the underarm delivery).. then y the hell be such a sore loser…
I was there on that night at the MCG and it left a very sour taste in my mouth and also my respect and admiration for who was one of Australias greatest batsmen ,Greg Chappell went from hero to zero.I agree with Richie Benaud, it was the most disgraceful thing to ever see on a cricket field.!!.
No wonder it went down as the most disgraceful moment in the history of cricket.
