Disney Releasing 3-D Video Games

It’s being reported that Disney is planning to release two 3-D video games inspired by upcoming movies this year.  The first will be based on G-Force, Disney’s first live-action film to be produced with Disney Digital 3-D (it’s also producer, Jerry Bruckheimer’s first three-dimensional movie).  g-force

The plot will revolve around a special forces team of guinea pigs, a mole and a fly who are set to take on the mission to stop a billionaire from destroying the world with household appliances.  Their plans are interrupted, however, when they end up in a pet shop.  Naturally, they don’t give up and the rest of the film focuses on their attempt to complete their task.  The game will be released this July for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, Xbox 360, Wii, PSP, Nintendo DS and PC.

The second game will be Toy Story Mania! and, while not many details have been released, I do know that it will be exclusive to the Nintendo Wii and will be similar to the gameplay and levels found at the Toy Story Midway Mania! attractions at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s California Adventure theme parks.

I’m not sure I am ready for a 3-D video game, are you?  A pair of glasses will be included with each game and I hope they are higher quality.  Those things fall apart so easily and they don’t fit well on your face.  Fortunately, if you don’t want to play the game in 3-D, you will have the option of playing the regular game.
