Buena Vista Games, in association with Walt Disney Co. have announced the opening of a “new video game development studio dedicated to creating innovative games for Nintendo platforms.”

The new studio, called Fall Line Studio, will focus on Disney-related games for the Nintendo consoles, be it Disney characters or shows or new concepts all-together.

“This studio will be one of our centers of creative excellence and it gives us the ability to fully capitalize on our properties and expand our market share on Nintendo platforms,” said Graham Hopper, senior vice president and general manager of Buena Vista Games. “Scott Novis brings the perfect mix of team building and relevant business experience to the position of studio head for Fall Line Studio.”

Very, very, very neat. I can’t wait to see what they come up with, as I’m a huge Disney fan. Anything involving Donald Duck is A-Okay with me.

Ooh, and The Little Mermaid!
