As a manager, it’s critical that you look back at your month and see what went well, what needs improvement, and what needs more of your attention. As a writer, it’s important that I look back and see the same things.
So here is my month in review for this site.
What went well:
- Interviewed Raj Setty (part 1 and part 2)
- Interviewed Gerry Sindell (part 1 and part 2)
- Interviewed Erika Andersen
What needs work:
- Need to find a better way to moderate comments and trackbacks so I can
- Re-engage with my commenters and folks who continue the conversation (thank you for hanging with me)
- Need to find new ways to share my articles with those who need them (got any ideas?)
- Will write more about decision making
- Will write more about advice for new managers
- Will write more about how to be a better manager
What will get my continued attention:
Questions for you:
- What are your big wins?
- What needs more works?
- What will get your continued attention?

After starting out my blog a little more than a month ago I was in a very huge hurry due to an upcoming camp of 17 days (with no internet access). I thought that I can lay everything out, from the designing of the blog to pre-scheduled posts and marketing. I had to realize that too much was too much. Now I’m working on the last details of the design (constructive criticism is appreciated), and I am trying to post on a regular basis. I am going to rewrite my about me and 404 pages and make them more useful very soon. Also, establishing relationships with other bloggers (via guest posts, for example) seems to be a good idea.
By the way great post, it was good to sum my things done and things to do up.
Cheers,
Zoli
