Management Zingers #6: SmartDraw
I was fortunate enough to receive a copy of SmartDraw. Due to some project management writing I was doing they sent me the program. I must admit that I thought this was originally just going to be another piece of software that I would dump on my drive, give a whirl, and steer away from after that.
I was both surprised and impressed with the software. I loved all the samples and it made creating graphics for documents a snap. It provided ideas and templates that were very simple to use. The one thing I would appreciate would be a better quality of graphic to drop into a blog post. Yet you can use it to create graphic rich PDF documents that are easily accessible through a blog.
The richness of the software changed my idea of doing a quick review of the product in a project management post to reviewing it here as I think this could be a very valuable tool in the hands of any manager who strives to communicate more effectively.
