Do You Have an Elevator Speech?

So you’re on the elevator and someone asks you what you do for a living and you have 30-60 seconds to talk. What will you say to them to communicate the details about your business? For those who don’t know, an elevator speech is an opportunity for you to quickly share information about your business that will encourage someone to hire you/buy your products or to invest in your business.

In case you need help developing your elevator speech, I thought it would be good to give you a few suggestions that you should include in your elevator speech when you deliver it.
- Share about the products or services that you provide
- Explain who your ideal customer would be
- If you are talking to a potential investor, explain about your revenue model
- Share who the key people are in your company and about their experience
- If you have time, share who’s your competition and how you have a competitive advantage over them
