  1. republican all the way says:

i 100% KNOW that she is a good pick. for someone who is not aloud to vote yet has a good head on her shoulders about whats going on. Sarah Palin is a wonderful successful business woman and mother. ya hockey moms. she cares for our people, our country, and the jobs that are constantly being takin away from hardworking americans. Obama is ready to raise taxes, spend money, but not ready to lead.
stop watching abc’s lies about Sarah Palin.
FIND RERUNS OF THE RNC AND WHAT SARAH WAS SAYING. she is the best vp ever.
this opinion of mine has nothing to do with race nor gender.

  2. J. Knight says:

No–heavens, no. She’s hick, a hack, and can’t even compete with Barrack.

Envision a characature: her holding the bloody head of a moose, with shotgun in hand, in an overly tight VP t-shirt. Her unwed daughter sitting in a rocker on the porch of a broken down cabin. Her husband, unshaven, and in a torn wife-beater t-shirt next to a still with a doobie hanging from his mouth. Yeah, just who I want to step in as president.

What’s her position on the issue? Besides harpie hype and hyperbole? What’s in that bobble head of hers besides NRA all the way, intelligent design, and raping the Alaska wilderness all in the name of four more years of “let’s make the oil companies richer…”

Geez, what will the GOP think of next. She’s not VP material. She can’t even reach up and kick VP material in the knee. What’s her IQ–room temperature?

Idiocy abounds on the Beltway–once again.

  3. Suz says:

I wanted to like ANY woman who was nominated for a major party…but I am not only disappointed in the pick, I am ANGRY that John McCain is pandering to the female vote by nominating her. As a registered Republican I only wish I could actually hurt the party by switching party affiliation. But I know that they don’t really care about me…otherwise they would have never put up that foreign policy lacking, rifle toting, red neck, fool-Sarah Palin.

  4. Bridget says:

Suz, you can SO hurt the party by changing affiliations. That’s just what they need anyway. A swift kick in the political pants!

  5. Lisa says:

As a working professional mother of two boys, I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT PALIN IS REPRESENTATIVE OF WORKING PROFESSIONAL MOTHERS NOR IS REPRESENTATIVE OF FEMALES IN THE POLITICAL ARENA.

Does she support privacy in choice – NO?
Does she support health care to working class and working poor, the majority of which are single mothers – NO?

Is she the best qualified? NO WAY. Come on – a journalism degree: did she take any courses in economics, international affairs? Anything?

Recent Government Experience: Come on – do we want a small town major and a 2 year Gubbie that is a gun totting religious trainwreck with more than her share of family issues at home.

This women does not represent me or many women ages 35-55. She represents an overzealous ex-beauty queen who is in it for the ambition – she doesn’t truly think she is qualified – how shameful that she cannot put her family first and country first – by resigning!

  6. Educated Voter says:

    To ‘republican all the way’

Sorry to hear that you are so uninformed – - Obama is NOT going to raise taxes unless, of course, you make over $250,000…AND IF YOU DO, God bless. In the meantime, you should pay closer attention to ALL the facts before you denegrate yourself to such partisanship and the “I’m for me” attitude that the die-hard GOP seems to embrace.

  7. I don’t think Sarah Palin would make a good V/P.
Alaska is predominatly white ahe hasn’t had to deal with problems that big major cities must deal with on a regular basis. Sarah Palin would crumble and she couldn’t deal with the Mexicans crossing the borders.Another thing if her daughter had been raped by a BLACK MAN, that baby would have been aborted. She can take the sheet off. People don’t be fooled.

  8. Rick says:

The question is, is Gov Palin a good VP pick. For whom? For McCain yes, but heaven help us if McCain is elected and something happens to him. I used to live in fear that something would happen to George H W Bush.

  9. Gloria says:

Yes I think she’s a good vice presidential pick.

Who the fuck cares if she’s a hick?? What’s with all the negative connotations surroundings rednecks and hicks anyways?

I admire her for knowing how to use a gun! More women need to.

I’m glad she can hunt! I’m sick of so many women being afraid to “hurt” animals and staying in the goddamn kitchen all the time.

    She breaks the mold.

I happen to like her alright because I am rather conservative.

Sad thing is she has more executive experience than Obama who has spent almost half of his term as senator campaigning to be president. Yes…and he’s the one running for PRESIDENT.

And if Obama was putting his kids and his family first, he wouldn’t be running either.
