Rumor: D.Phone Wins China

ChinaTechNews.com is reporting Chen Jingsheng, vice president of D.Phone, has announced to Chinese media that D.Phone in China has signed a deal with Apple. Now to clarify this is still a rumor.

If this is true, when the iPhone is unveiled in China D.Phone stores would be the first to sell it to the Chinese public.

Around the Spring Festival Holiday of 2008 is when you could expect the iPhone to hit the shelves but no prices have been reported.

Some analysts say this just might be a strategy by Apple to win over China Mobile in their negotiations.
