Dr. Dobbs spamming techniques

Anyone else having problems getting off of Dr. Dobb’s and the CMP Tech Network mailing lists? This kind of thing is why I consider AND MARK anything I receive from them now as spam.

I have followed their directed instructions REPEATEDLY to get off their mailing lists to no avail, even after confirmation messages on their sites have told me my request was successful.

  1. 1: “FOURTH RENEWAL NOTICE” – you’d think they’d get the message wouldn’t you? HELLO! I’m not interested, remove me from your list.
  2. 2: “Renew today and we won’t ask you again for another year” – so I’ve got this to look forward to AT LEAST every year for the rest of my life? Take the hint from step 1, I’M NOT INTERESTED!!!
  3. 3: Yep, still can’t get Gmail Gtalk interface to connect on my laptop which is also getting REALLY FRUSTRATING!

I signed up for their newsletter and canceled months ago. I STILL receive these things all the time! However, instead of being on the same ‘monthly’ newsletter list – I seem to be on hundreds more that they seem to create just so they can continue to send junk to you. HOW DO I GET OFF THE MASTER LIST? AHHHH
