Dr. Phil Bails Out Victoria Lindsay’s Attacker

For all the people blaming YouTube and MySpace and other online video sites for the beating of Victoria Lindsay, let me remind you where the real exploitative douchebags are: offline video, aka TV. One of Dr. Phil’s producers just bailed out one of Ms. Lindsay’s attackers, Mercades Nichols, for an exclusive interview.
Thanks to the gag order on everyone involved in the case, however, Ms. Nichols won’t be appearing on Dr. Phil’s show. The fake psychiatrist later cooked up an excuse, claiming his producer acted alone. I guess this producer just happened to have $33,000 in bail money lying around.
When criminals put themselves inside online video, they get caught. When unscrupulous TV hosts try to put criminals on their shows, they get bailed out. What’s the more “evil” medium now?

Mercades Nichols FUCK CMON as if i hope this fucking Dr phil feels like a real ass HOLE for doing this what a fucking jerk he acts like he helps kids out no fucking ways im surporting his show anymore so what his kids would do this to a teen he would agree with it or what mabe his son would beat on his wife and he would give him a medal fucking PRICK
Oprah must disown and fire him.
We must boycott his show and all the other things he sells, like books.
i honestly don’t think youtube, myspace or the TV is to be blamed for this beating. these girls were obviously going to find anyway to screw up victoria and at the same time show off their “toughness”, myspace and youtube happened to be the easiest way to do so. youtube and myspace are amazing websites that provide us with music and even history and dumb young girls that can’t handle it should not even be given a computer in the first place.
as of Dr. Phil, i think the media is trying their hardest to point fingers at each other because ignorant people are putting the blame on them, but instead of making up useless rumors, you should use your power to educate people about the importance of raising their children in a violent free environment.
Why in the world would you let someone who helped beat up a poor 16 year old girl off of blame!
They all should go to jail!!!!
And yes I’m only 11 But i have some adult ideas
But they should ALL go to jail for 30 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
those girls that did that should be beat just like they did victoria so they no how it feels
I’m a fifteen-year old boy, and I’m DISGUSTED with this story. Why would you lure someone to your house to beat the living shit out of them. In Canada, where I’m from, they teach us Self-Defense in gym class, which teaches us how to get out of situations like this. When I actually was sent the video, I couldn’t believe how much these girls are cowards, and then I hear that Dr. Phil’s co-worker or employee of some sort bails that girls ass out of jail, I’m FURIOUS. Why are we going to bother making an example of this disgusting and terrible crime, if they bailed out one of these disgusting girls for a lousy interview. WTF IS YOUR PROBLEM DR. PHIL. YOUR SAYING THAT ITS NOT THE INTERNETS FAULT, AND WE SHOULD STOP BLAMING IT ON THE INTERNET. WE SHOULD START BLAMING IT ON YOU, WTF ARE YOU THINKING. DO YOU WANT VIEWERS THAT BAD. YOU FUCKING SUCK.
Joey
PS: I hope all of these kids miraculously die in a fire. DIE BITCHES, DIE. fucking cheerleaders.
After seeing this video, I too am absolutely aghast at the brutality of these teens’ actions. It is just sickening. 8 on one? What were these girls trying to prove? and the absolute stupidity of posting this on the internet is just amazing. I don’t think these teens need to “die,” or “burn in ****” because these are children who made a mistake maybe out of peer pressure, or perhaps out of hatred and should be given a second chance. They’re young, they make mistakes. Yes, they should be punished, but not to such an extreme extent as to mess up the rest of their lives; a couple years in Juvenile Hall, or in jail should teach them a lesson. and also, some psychiatry and anger management should clear them up.
Why did Dr. Phil chose this particular girl and not any other? It is unfair for us to judge whether his actions were justified because we don’t know the entire story. Sure we know that this girl was ganged up on by 8 girls and beaten up, and now Dr. Phil is bailing out one of the assailants. Why would he not bail out some more? He has the money. And also, it would make an awesome story on his show with more sides of the story. Also, when you see the look on the assailant’s faces when they’re at court, they look totally hopelessly depressed. I think what the people here are seeing is just the fact that 8 young teens beat up another over a stupid myspace argument. Do they deserve to die over a mistake?
J Swiz, I actually do think that they should get a harsh punishment, because then alot of the other teenagers are going to view this as “funny” or “hilarious” and will want to try it out. I do believe they knew what was to come, and that there was going to be a harsh punishment. They are going to have to live with that guilt for the rest of their lives. I don’t believe its unfair for us to judge Dr. Phils intentions on bailing this girl out of jail, it was for a private interview, that wasnt even on his show. The fact you said it would make a good show, makes me laugh due to the fact someone just committed a terrifying assault on this innocent teen, just for RATINGS AND VIEWERS.
By the way, I stand with my previous comment, these girls should die, every single one of them.
Why would other teenagers “view this as ‘funny’ or hilarious’?” Years in jail and in Juvenile Hall aren’t exactly something to laugh at. So why would “alot” of teens want “to try it out?” You’re a teen yourself (and so am I actually) and basically unless these girls are killed, you’re not going to learn the lesson of murder or assault? Furthermore, these teens made a MISTAKE. Perhaps they did not think deep enough into their plan to realize that the girl may actually be hurt, or maybe they did, we don’t know. Or perhaps they just wanted to “teach that girl a lesson” but took it too far. How much would it suck if you and your buddies got pissed at a kid and decided to beat him up, only to realize that he got hurt and you’re going to die for it. Also, living with guilt for the rest of their lives should be enough punishment, because I’d say thats a pretty crappy thing to live with.
Ok. I worded the Dr. Phil thing wrong and had my tone messed up. I don’t support his decision or go against it. I just think its unfair to totally beat up on his decision to bail that girl out because we aren’t sure of his intentions.
Man, do these kids have problems!
i just feel like…..if those girls are pathetic enough to hurt a girl over myspace shit?!!?…
then what the fuck are they’re parents doing wrong…
i know the whole if someone hits you .. you hit them back for self defense but she took it …she’s really brave…i hope that those girls get whats coming to them…wether it be death by fire or prison for 30 years.. or just a couple of years in juvie..itll def be a lesson that they will remember…
ok..first of all the little bitches need to grow the fuck up honestly..i mean..who in the hell gets so mad that they nearly kill someone over some myspace shit?? seriously..delete the shit and move on. when we are 35 years old we arent goin to even remember why in the hell we are so fascinated with myspace anyways. the victoria girl didnt need to be treated that way no matter what she did. it was immature for these sixteen year olds to do that. im 16 and i would never get 8 girlfriends of mine and jump them. these bitches have some anger problems that need to be takin care of. hell i say the need DR. PHIL. but if youre going to help out one girl why not help out all the tricks that did it?? now..i think “DR”. PHIL should be the one getting punched in the face. no, i dont think they should DIE or whatever but they definetly need to be taught a lesson.
