Draft specification for RSS 2
The RSS Advisory Board has taken on eight new members and is lead by Roger Cadenhead. First thing they’ve done is a proposed specification for RSS that represents completely new documentation for the existing RSS 2.0 format. The goal of the spec is to make RSS simpler to implement by providing examples for all elements, better presentation and a more formal approach… Well, that can’t hurt but I think these boards are always too slow and too formal. By the time they agree on RSS 2.0, the market is already implementing 3.0.
