Dreamhack

Apparently there is this huge LAN party thing that takes place in Sweden that’s supposed to blow your mind. The LAN party, which drew 12,782 visitors last year making it the world’s largest EVER LAN party, is called Dreamhack and it really is a site to behold. So, what do almost 13,000 people do on all those computers? Well, the play games. Lots and lots of games. Any game you can imagine. And you get to do it with the knowledge that there is someone as dorky as you are sitting next to you also playing video games.

There can’t be anything more heart warming.

So, why did I bring this nerd-fest party up in my blog? Because of one of the advertisements for Dreamhack features one of my favorite games: Day of the Tentacle. The advertisement is some type of weird rock video that I can’t understand half of (since it’s in Swedish), but it was still amusing to watch.

Doesn’t that make you want to grab your laptop and head on over to your friend’s house to play some LAN games? Unfortunately for us, Dreamhack took place from November 27th to the 30th, so no Dreamhack for us this year. But there’s always next year. MUAHAHA!
