If the MVP for the league was picked right now at this moment the winner would be, uhh, Drew Tomlinson, err, LaDainian Brees, umm, Drew Brees, no wait a minute, LaDainian Tomlinson, agghh, you get the picture. It has to go to… one of them, doesn’t it?
Drew Brees had a statement game against Dallas.
Quarterback Drew Brees threw for five touchdowns (no opposing player had ever done that against the Cowboys at home) and 384 yards, making his case for MVP consideration and getting back on pace to threaten the league’s single-season yardage record. source
LT just sneered at Drew and broke the sacred rushing for touchdowns record.
Around left end he went for 7 yards and the 29th touchdown of his season with 3:10 to play. Final score: Chargers 48, Denver Broncos 20.
“That’s football,” said safety John Lynch. “They were trying to get LT the record, and he is a class guy and a tremendous player. This is the NFL, not Pop Warner.” source
Good thing there is more season to play. Maybe this thing can sort itself out.
The Squibster asked if LT was the best for 06, even before the year began.
Drew Brees was more of a shock and took some getting used to.
One thing is for sure, both teams, the Saints and the Chargers are having impressive season that were not expected. A large part of that success is due to Drew Brees and LaDainian Tomlinson.

At this point, I’m going with LT – he’s been tbe biggest reason they’ve morphed into the Super Bowl favorite (in general), which is a tough step to take. And there he’s money in the red zone, even though everyone knows he’s coming.
