Dubai Duty Free Open to Include Top Ranked WTA Players

The hottest of which, for the moment, is France’s Amelie Mauresmo, who in the past few months has won three tournaments in a row (including her first Grand Slam at the Australian Open) and fifteen consecutive matches. But as always, she won’t be alone in tackling the Middle Eastern hardcourt at the Dubai Duty Free Open.

The tournament is a $1,000,000 Tier II event, and this year’s will feature the likes of Justine Henin-Hardenne, Martina Hingis, Maria Sharapova, Lindsey Davenport, and Nadia Petrova.

Will Mauresmo continue on her winning spree or will she finally meet her match?

I don’t know about you, but I’d love to see a re-match of the Australian open with Mauresmo and Henin-Hardenne battling it out, sans inflamed stomach.
