Dungy, Bilichick, Shanahan,… who is the best coach

NFL Football at its best. NFL Football at its craziest.

At this mid point of the season strange things happen. The injuries pile on, just ask Seattle, the practices are hard, the weather gets colder in the North, and the offenses begin to heat up.

Replace Me, Please

John L. SmithSo let’s play a game. With my Michigan State Spartans firing John L. Smith, a big time coaching search is going on. So let the mind wander. Think of your favorite college team. Now here are the game rules:

  • You have to pick a current pro coach
  • You have to explain why he would be the best coach for your team
  • You have to explain why he would want to come to your school

Put your answer in the comments.

Let me go first. My school: MSU My coach: Tony Dungy Why would he come to MSU? Great Campus, 62 million+ dollars of new football upgrades, chance to compete with Ohio State, UofM, Penn State, and Notre Dame.

Don’t forget to vote in this weeks poll on the side bar.

NFL Football Fan Question The 3 coaches in the Title are my big 3, but who can deny the Big Tuna? Do you have a coaching big 3?

As always, any NFL Football related comments are welcome.

  1. David Krug says:

    This one is easy.

    1. Mike Shanahan
    2. Bill Walsh
    3. Gary Kubiak

  2. James says:

    David,
excellent, was talking to a computer service person late last night trying to get my laptop fixed. He was located in Oklahoma and was a big Denver fan. My last words were “would you trade your Denver coach to my detroit Lions please.”

And if you like Shannie, then you have to believe in Kubiak. Never even thought of him.

And Walshes coaching tree is spread all over the football landscape with the West Coast O being partly his innovation. Think of those great 49er teams, wow!
