Dutch Olympic Football Team Announced

Holland’s Olympic football squad was announced today by their coach, Foppe de Haan. Here’s the roster:
- Goalkeepers: Piet Velthuizen (Vitesse), Kenneth Vermeer (Ajax)
- Defenders: Kew Jaliens (AZ), Calvin Jong-A-Pin (Heerenveen), Kees Luijcks (AZ), Dirk Marcellis (PSV) (PSV), Erik Pieters (PSV), Gianni Zuiverloon (West Bromwich Albion)
- Midfielders: Otman Bakkal (PSV), Urby Emanuelson (Ajax), Jonathan de Guzman (Feyenoord), Hedwiges Maduro (Valencia), Evander Sno (Celtic)
- Forwards: Roy Beerens ( Heerenveen), Ryan Babel (Liverpool), Royston Drenthe (Real Madrid), Roy Makaay (Feyenoord), Gerald Sibon (Heerenveen).
The Dutch team will face off against Team Belgium in a pre-Olympics warm-up game on July 23, 2008.
what, who are these guys? Why is Holland going with all second and third stringers? If they had just not worn those darn black armbands and not played like they were at a funeral they couldve won a Euro and a gold. But hey, hope these guys play well in every game.
As a Dutch men living out side of the Netherlands, I am achamed of the achievements and attitude of the National teams, and special from the set up and management and the decissions make by the managers and coaches for the selection of the Olympic football team.
It is a disgrace to see that players are choosen without any achievement or high level exspirience before.
Are we realey serious by choosing a haed coach we can work good with younger players, but never worked with on this level of a Olympic.
Were are the coaches that make so many results in foreign country, proberbly they are fat up with the football organisation in Holland.
It is a disgrace, to see this for me second team playing in Beijing, and Foppe is proberbly a nice grandfather but defenitly not the coach we need on this high level of performance in world level.
I feel achamed to be Dutch in a group that out side the country is watching football from the National team of Holland.
man,in the olympics football teams are made mostly of youn player U23 but each team can take i think to 3 players older than 23 yrs,like roy maakay,sibon and kew jaliens,surf a little more and find on the net rules,i love netherlands,doeg!
Why da hel holland cnt win da world cup dey got 1 of da worlds best players, why cnt dey stick 2geva luk at germany iz a shyt team n they stil play gud football y cnt holland.. Please 4 god sake win da nxt world cup good luck n av sum shame
