Last week I asked you to design the online payment system called edream you wanted as I regularly hear readers complaining about the services ( or lack of them) offered by e payments companies like moneybookers, paypal, e gold, loom, and the rest. In response, Sean over at franchise pick; a blog I never tire of reading, responded with a killah post not to be missed, with his usual wit and humour.

So here’s the question, if you were to design the e payments system that you want and need, what would it look like?
What services would it offer that you are missing now?
How would you improve on existing options offered to customers?
What limitations that you presently have to endure would you do away with and what would you replace them with?
Lets call it e dream
The prize? a deposit of seed money into your a paypal account in your name to start your new business. Yes you heard right! seed money into your own account.

My dream ePayment system would be called eSean. Every time a transaction is processed, a little bit comes to me for no particular reason.
But here’s the kicker: eSean users would be able to view me enjoying their money in real time via eSeanTV.com:
- Sean on the eSean yacht in the Caribbean, – Sean on the eSean jet enroute to dinner in Paris,
- Sean partying in Rio and cliff diving* the next day with Matthew McWhatshisname for the film crews, etc.
The additional fee for my lavish lifestyle would be a great value, as eSean subscribers could live vicariously through me, 25/7.
The ad campaign would be very striking and all about me. It would show me living the ultimate lifestyle, and then at the end I’d say: “Let’s face it: You’re gonna get screwed no matter which payment company you use. With eSean, at least you get to watch.”
Then the announcer would say: “Now you can live the life of you’ve always imagined… through Sean. eSean.”
FYI: Until eSean is a reality, feel free to simply deposit your extra money into my PayPal account. I will send you postcards and email updates regularly.

What would my ideal payment system look like? Well, credit cards can process a payment from your bank account and apply it to your credit card account same day (or next day after 3 pm). SO, why can’t payment systems get money into your bank account as easily? They should be able to. It is a deposit, after all. Now more of this 3-4 business days deposit. Next day deposit, minimum.
