E3 Announces New Wii Peripherals

The gaming news is flowing out of this year’s E3, and Nintendo has just announced something rather exciting for us Wii lovers. Not only will the company be releasing a new sequel to the ever-popular Wii Sports, but they will also be showering us with some exciting new goodies.

The first of these is the new Wii Motion Plus, a nifty device intended to improve the Wii Remote and make it ultra sensitive to the player’s movements. This device will come bundled up with Wii Sports Resort which should be out sometime around Spring 2009. So still a bit to go.

Next in the list of spiffy new stuff is the WiiSpeak microphone, which will allow Wii players to chat over the Internet. The mic will launch alongside Animal Crossing, which will work beautifully with the WiiSpeak mic.

And if that’s not enough, Nintendo has also announced Wii Music, a new title that will allow Wii users the ability to not only play songs but also compose their own music. The game will simulate up to 60 different instruments.

Lots of good stuff coming our way from Nintendo!
