EA, unlike many game publishers who view the Mac OS as a carrier of the ebola virus, has been pledging to release more of its titles to the platform, and came through with a string of releases last week. Just in time for me to get my Mac!

Madden NFL 08, Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars, Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix, Battlefield 2142, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 and Need for Speed Carbon will be available in stores, some by the end of the month. Why, you might ask, would such a major player even bother with Macs when they’re already making zillions of dollars on other platforms? To make zillions more naturally! It certainly doesn’t hurt that Apple is roaring its way through the personal technology sector at a steady clip, or that Mac computers are being seen as viable alternatives for home users, thanks to increased software compatibility in areas other than gaming.
