Former NBA player Earl Boykins

Earl Boykins (note - picture is not actual size) has decided he’s had enough of the National Basketball Association. Boykins has signed a one-year deal with the Italian club Vitus Bologna, worth $3.5 million.

The second most famous Eastern Michigan basketball player (the most famous is George Gervin) will become the highest-paid player in the Italian league next season. Boykins, 32, has spent 10 years in the NBA, most recently with the Charlotte Bobcats.

Boykins hasn’t exactly been a starter in his time in the NBA. In fact, last season Boykins didn’t register even one start and saw action in only 36 contests. Boykins started a career high 19 games in the 2006-07 season with the Milwaukee Bucks.
