Easy steps in Disabling Windows Vista Aero

Despite the hardware capabilities that are now available compared to those that came out when Windows Vista first came out, people still want to disable the built-in Windows Vista Aero.
Below are the easy steps in doing this:
1. Right-click on the desktop
2. Click on “Personalize”
3. Click on “Windows Color and Appearance”
4. Click the link on the bottom “Open classic appearance properties for more color options”
5. Choose “Windows Vista Basic”
The Windows Vista Aero glass feature should now be disabled, and in most cases, you would feel the performance boost.
