Eli Manning in College

This weekend is thought by many to be the most exciting weekend in football. Of course, there aren’t any college games going on – it is all about the NFL playoffs. (*Insert debate about college ball needing a playoff system here*) I thought it would be fun to look back on the top 8 teams’ quarterbacks. What were they like in college?
Eli Manning, New York (Giants)
Unlike older brother Peyton, Eli Manning continued on with the Manning legacy at Old Miss. During his time there, he threw 81 touchdown passes (third in the SEC) and won a number of awards. He was a Heisman candidate in 2004, but finished third.
The most significant part of his college career, however, was probably his draft. He was expected to go first, a draft pick that belonged to the Chargers. He made it well known that he would not sign with them, forcing to negotiate a trade with the New York, who had fourth pick and choose Philip Rivers.
