Eliot Spitzer Debuts As ‘Slate’ Columnist
Client 9’s First Article: ‘Too Big Not To Fail’ … And It’s Not What You’re Thinking
Eliot Spitzer, former NY Governor and 2008’s “John of the Year,” has been offered a clean Slate.
Online magazine, Slate.com, debuted Spitzer’s new column on the economy in today’s post and I dare you to read it without smirking quietly to yourself over at least 10 obvious double entendres in the article you can come up with if you put your mind to it.
Spitzer appears to have shifted 180 degrees from some of his previous positions (halfway “around the world,” anyone?) and is now urging politicians to let the market work. But only up to a point. No one should be allowed to be too big or too successful, argues Spitzer.
Basically, Spitzer is advocating that businesses should be allowed to participate in heavy petting … but need to be stopped short of any money shot.
Ex-governor Steamroller goes on to equivocate between political and economic power but, in light of his past escapades, perhaps that is to be expected as well.
