Eminem Sends Mariah Carey a “Warning”

The feud between Eminem and Mariah Carey has been going on for years now and, to be honest, I thought it was over. The pair had some sort of relationship back in 2001 but the details have been heavily disputed – Mariah has tried to downplay it and make it seem like Eminem is making things up while he says that she couldn’t get enough of him.![]()
When she released her new video for her single “Obsessed” she dressed up like a man in an outfit that many believe was intended to imply she was Slim Shady. Of course, she denied that but there are so many other clothing styles she could have chosen so I don’t believe her.
Unfortunately (for her), Eminem didn’t believe her denials either and he’s put out “The Warning” for Mimi. This song is one of the best he’s released in years and, as usual, he doesn’t mince words. The things he brings up have a ring of truth to them. Here are some sample lyrics:
- “You probably think since it’s been so long if I had something on you I woulda did it by now, on the contrary, Mary Poppins, I’m mixing our studio session down and sending it to mastering to make it loud, enough dirt on you to murder you, this is what the f–k I do…Mariah, it ever occur to you that I still have pictures?”
- “But if I’m embarrassing me, I’m embarrassing you and don’t you dare say it isn’t true.”
- “As long as the song’s getting airplay I’m dissing you, I’m a hair away from getting carried away and getting sued, I was gonna stop at 16, this is 32, this is 34 bars, we ain’t even a third of the way through.”
There’s no point in me continuing to write about it – just listen to it for yourselves (not safe for work and some might find the language offensive).

I really don’t know what Eminem’s problem is, but his rapping skill was never in doubt.
