England spared complete humiliation

England cannot suffer a total whitewash in the ODI series against India, as the 5th match of the series was lost to rain. And whilst England have already lost, and India could still win the series undefeated 6-0 were they were to win the remaining two matches, it might come as some consolation that they won’t get 7-balled. Wins for England in the remaining two would be invaluable in repairing some confidence in preparation for their next international encounter – Sri Lanka.
