ESPN Steps Up Coverage Of Women’s College Basketball

It looks as though the 2008-2009 will be a good one for women’s college basketball as far as television exposure is concerned.

According to ESPN.com, stanfordtennessee_nc.jpgTennessee will host Stanford on Dec. 21 in a rematch of last season’s national championship, one of 148 women’s college basketball games that will air on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and ESPN360.com this season.

Another awesome stat: All 63 games for the NCAA Tournament will be televised!

For those people who think women’s basketball is on the outs, or will never amount to anything … turn on your television. There are 149 reasons why you just may be wrong.
