Even with asterisk, Bonds ball makes into the Hall

Should the Hall of Fame at Cooperstown really have a baseball with an asterisk branded on it in its collection? Probably not. However, the Hall has chosen to accept a donation from Mark Ecko and the Barry Bonds baseball, which broke the MLB record for career home runs, now has a place that all fans can see it. The question now… will Bonds ever be inducted into the Hall of Fame or will it just be his record breaking baseball resting alone?

I really don’t like that Ecko decided to brand the baseball, however, he had possession of the ball and it was his call to actually go through with the branding. With steroid rumors surrounding Bonds for a few years, it’s no wonder that it was such a battle to get the ball into the Hall.

It’s good to know that even the Hall of Fame has its limits and will accept a donation of the baseball that broke the all-time homerun record. Maybe the next thing to go in will be the empty beer cans and syringes that Brian McNamee held onto for so long before ratting out Roger Clemens.
