Mother/Daughter Tandem Convicted Of Smuggling Primate Into U.S. In Menage a Trois Gone Horribly Wrong

Fran Ogren went on a trip with her daughter to Thailand. When they returned to the United States, Fran’s daughter, Gypsy Ogren, checked through customs as just another returning pregnant tourist.

It turns out Fran’s daughter wasn’t really pregnant but was helping her mother smuggle a rhesus monkey into the country. As you might expect they got caught and convicted of conspiracy and smuggling.

The monkey is now in a primate rescue facility in Oregon and waiting for a call-back from the producers of Real Wives of Orange County.

Let this be a lesson to all you parents out there — absolutely no good can come from naming your kid “Gypsy.”
