Experience Experience 112
Man, am I good with coming up with titles, or what? Yes… there is a new trailer out there to “experience” for a game called Experience 112, created by a French developer called Lexis Numerique and it looks pretty cool, even though it’s in a French. What’s odd about the trailer being in French, you might ask? Well, the website for the game is in English. I’m just so confused.
Now I had never even heard about this game until I was browsing through Gametrailers videos to find things to watch. This game definitely popped out at me, though.
Take a look at the trailer:
It definitely looks pretty cool, but I wish the website had a little more information on what the game is really about. This is what they have so far for the story of the game:
A dilapidated ship. A fully-functioning control and surveillance system. A woman, Lea Nichols, the only surviving member of a team of scientists.
Monitor, control, search and explore. From behind your cameras you try to guide Lea Nichols towards freedom, but above all towards the truth. Be her eyes and ears a you help her accomplish her mission.
But beware! Remember that things are not always how they seem…
As you can see, the story is a little… lacking. But with a little more googling on my part, I did find a little more information about the game over at Just Adventure that makes the game sound way more intriguing, though. Here ya go:
The trick is, while you can see and hear her, she can’t see or hear you. You have complete control over the electronics in the ship, however, and you learn to communicate with her by flashing lights on and off, moving cameras up and down or sideways (to indicate “Yes” and “No”), and manipulating temperature, water level, door locks, etc. To make matters more complicated, she always has the choice to disobey your direction.
Now, that makes the game sound way better and far more original. Very interesting.
The game is due to be out sometime in September of 2007.

Sounds absolutely refreshing. Still, my French hasn’t improved over th years apparently. Weird that.
It’s amazing how foreign languages don’t just… come to you in your sleep, isn’t it? Damn those languages!
Pesky things…
