polycom_ip_telephone.jpgThe word ‘exploiting‘ may have a negative connotation but let’s make it positive here. As VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) services continuously gaining its momentum in the IP Telephony industry, let us review what are the benefits it offers.

  1. VoIP services are cheaper than the traditional phone calls in a PC-to-Phone setup, and free when you’re just doing a PC-to-PC calls.
  2. Cheaper as it is, it also offers many functionalities similar to that of a phone with additional service fees but free/packaged in most of the VoIP plans, services like voice mails, caller ID, call waiting, conference call, etc…
  3. When opted for a packaged VoIP plan, you can have your unique number that can be accessed anywhere. You can receive and make calls anytime as long as you are connected via broadband connection. This just means that VoIP provides mobility. You are not confined in your home or office but anywhere. With VoIP, you’re now virtual.
  4. VoIP is now everywhere, not to worry about compatibility issues as long as you have the right equipment like VoIP phone adapter and high-speed connection.
