Failed Office 2007 Update

I’ve been trying to get this update installed now for a couple of weeks. It just won’t take.
I’ve been reading about this specific update on the Microsoft Help and Support website to try and figure out what seems to be the problem. The text of the information tab within the update history says:
Service Pack 1 provides the latest updates to the 2007 Microsoft Office Suite. This update also applies to Expression Web and Visual Web Developer.
I use both of these products so I’m trying to figure out which one could be the main cause of the problem.
It looks like this could be my problem, Knowledge Base Article 942101.
Have you tried downloading the file separately and installing it from hard drive?

I had the same problem.
I downloaded from this page, but it failed to update. Why ?

Try updating your Windows installer to the latest version (4.5?)
It fixed my problem…
