“Fame” The Complete Seasons 1 & 2

The new Fame movie comes out at the end of this month so it’s a great time to look back at where it all began.  I really loved the television show as a kid so I might pick up a copy of Fame: The Complete Seasons 1 & 2 which was released earlier this week.

The show followed the lives of the faculty and students at the New York City High School of the Performing Arts and, while it’s heavily based on Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, the events and characters were fictional.

The seven disc set includes all of the episodes from seasons one and two so if you have never seen it, you might really enjoy seeing what it’s all about.  With shows like So You Think You Can Dance and Dancing With the Stars being so popular, it’s clear that people love dancing.

Interestingly enough, choreographer, Debbie Allen, was in the original television series, has served as a judge on So You Think You Can Dance and will also appear in the 2009 film along with SYTYCD season four finalist, Kherington Payne.
