FanBox Desktop: Word Processor

I got this friend referral to FanBox Desktop, a web-based desktop with applications (like messenger, internet browsing, Suggest, etc.) and remote file storage. I do not know personally who invited me but I gave it a try. And, it is not that ’spam’ email as I thought.
FanBox Desktop has this tool called Word Processor, so I gave it a try. Yes, yet another web-based document processing tool. Let’s see… we have Google Docs, Zoho Writer, Live Documents….. and many others. Now comes FanBox Desktop Word Processor.
Well, it has the basic features of a word processor like font, alignment, color, formatting, etc. You can save file to your local PC or to your remote file storage about 2GB of space. Of course, you can edit file from you computer or files located in you remote storage. I encountered some bugs though but I bet there is more to see with this application since it is still in its initial release stage.

Go to account settings and go the Account Status function. There you will see a button that says “Deactivate Account”
I never even went to that darn site & I’m getting spam galore from there.
This person has tagged me, that person has a question for me to answer, this person wants to be a loyal fan…etc etc…
Wth? It’s obvious this place is nothing but pure b.s, looking to phish your info for their profit.
I’m absolutely amazed with how many people on this board, and others, actually want to try it. Are you not reading what others are saying about that site??
T.J & all the other sms.ac chronies are all over the boards trying to convince people just how wonderful their site is. Damage control much??

Not much has changed to their Wed desktop (vista looking). The fanbox site has been much faster though. The social network needs some improvements to get to facebook quality. The concept of making money on top-quality blogs is geniuos however… blogger and twitter need to figure it out and quick because they are bleeding money. Facebook is not doing much in the way of revenues either being they just raised another 100 million
Fanbox was featured in a local news segment for not paying thier employees…check it out.
