Fashion Help for Second Life’s Inept

I’ve decided to try this Second Life thing…a second time. I’m determined not to be such a complete and utter tool about it this go ’round as well, making some research and reading on the subject a necessity.

Naturally, James Wagner Au’s New World Notes, which I read regularly even when not fiddling about in virtuality, was a good starting place, and you can imagine my joy when fashion correspondent Iris Ophelia offered up the hot brands and cool locales to make any avatar look its best.

Iris Ophelia’s World Fashion Tour tracks shopping chic across several areas of Second Life, and with all the glamour and glitz of a bonafide photoshoot, shows the end result of a good day’s purchasing. A great place to start if you haven’t the faintest idea where to buy clothing of a particular style (she delves into a wide variety of styles). Don’t expect looking like a fashionista to be cheap mind you, I’d be willing to bet that a whooooole lot of L$ were spent making Iris look top notch. Price tags aren’t going to stop me from looking mind you, so I’m off to browse the boutiques.

I may still get stuck between sofas, but damn, I’ll at least look good doing it.

  1. I personally love retro anything including retro fashion. Thanks for the post.

  2. Come on over to the MODA Modeling School where we don’t make you over, we teach you how to make yourself over along with designing your own poses and building your own portfolio. Did I mention modeling in our shows or appearing on Second Life TV?
