Need I say we’re all foaming at mouth.

Angry fans on streets
Fans as far as Jammu & Kashmir (which is a cricket-neutral state) are carrying out protests.
Angry Indian cricket fans held street demonstrations and burned effigies of two cricket umpires on Monday, blaming poor decisions for their team’s defeat in the second test against Australia, while criticizing a three-match ban handed to spin bowler Harbhajan Singh.
Indian media also reacted with anger toward Harbhajan’s suspension after he was found guilty by match referee Mike Proctor of racially abusing Australia all-rounder Andrew Symonds, and questioned the sportsmanship of the Australian team.
Justice on road.
Effiges of umpires Steve Bucknor and Mark Benson were burnt by cricket fans in Kanpur and Vadodra on Sunday to express their anger over their howlers which influenced the course of the second test between India and Australia in Sydney.
Soon after India lost the match to hand Australia a 2-0 lead in the series, dozens of cricket fans came out on the streets in Kanpur and shouted slogans against the umpires faulting them for the country’s defeat.

This is idiotic on their part… don’t they have families to go back to instead of these effigy antics? Looks like illegal betting has seeped into J&K.
Bhajji has not said anything racial to Andrew symonds. Harbajan wouldn’t even know that Symonds is the only black in the australian team and all others are white. The match refree Mike Proctor by declaring Bhajje as racial has created a racial controversy. Mike must be punished and imposed a life ban. Monkey is hardly a derogratory word in India. We have a ‘Monkey God’ called hanuman and we have lot of devotees of him. If calling monkey is racist then, what is ‘M*F*’, SOB etc and other foul language used by austrilians regularly. Australians regularly resort to bad mouthing sachin and Dravid when theya are playing well. They have spelled abuses at Laxman on several occasions. Australians targetted sresanth when they toured India which resulted in public acrimony. Ricky ponting went to calcutta bar and had a brawl. They play dirty cricket on the field and are ugly people off it.
In view of the farse in the second test match and ugly cricket played by the austrialians, Indian board should pull back their team from australia and severe all cricketing realtionships with theam. Australians must be banned from playing cricket for next two years in all international level by ICC. Austrilians should not be allowed to bring the glorious game of cricke to any more disrepute. They must be taught moral lessons and righteousness and asked to do public service like public toilet cleaning. Cheaters are punished under law. And if you are cheating in the full view of 100 crore people we can’t allow it. They are Australian crickets are criminals in the view of hundred crore Indians. If they go out of the stadium they could be arrested for con’ing the Indian team and the whole world.
While Ricky Ponting, Mathew Clarke and Andrew Symonds have brought the game of cricket to direpute by their dubious acts, the umpire Steve Buknor and Mark Benson have conspired against team India and Indian Nation. All the five of them should be permanently banned from cricket for rest of their lives. Ricky ponting must face 5 test ban for flooring and catch and appealing for it. Mathew Clarke must be banned for 5 tests for flooring a catch and appealing for it.
Also umpires should be criminally procecuted and later publically executed.
Dinnie, there are rabids everywhere. India has its germs and bacteria…cricket is such a fertile medium for their expression!
The problem faced by authorities is whether to face censure for diverting valuable resources towards this trivial pursuit while life is burning elsewhere or face censure for not busting up these fools.
You do realize that beneath all this are entirely different undercurrents…?
@ Soul
I know what you mean. Isn’t that how and why they cause riots?
@ Raj
Don’t be so harsh on them, mate. To er is human.
