Favorite Green Brands

August 17, 2008 by Allison Boyer

Recently, Outlaw Consulting surveyed 100 Generation Y-ers about their favorite green products. The top 15 brands listed were:

  1. Whole Foods
  2. Trader Joe’s
  3. Toyota
  4. Honda
  5. Google
  6. Aveda
  7. Zipcar
  8. American Apparel
  9. Ikea
  10. 7th General
  11. Apple
  12. the Body Shop
  13. Starbucks
  14. Netflix
  15. Method

Now, some most of these companies I wouldn’t necessarily consider “green” in general, but they are branding certain products to be green and making good on corporate promises to go green…or at least, the public perceives them as green.

    Nice article, Allison.
In fact, I dig the whole blog.

I blog about Socially Responsible companies thta ‘give back’ to society, and have talked up 7th Generation before. (I won’t bore you with the specific article, but my blog is http://www.ShopForTheGood.blogspot.com).

It’s high time to start calling attention to ’small’ companies that work hard to ‘do good’…and call out ‘big’ companies that make no effort at all.
