FCC Likes Competition, not Exclusitivity

Yes, you read that right. The FCC is banning agreements that make apartment buildings only have one cable provider. This means that those who live in the city where apartments are the big thing and can’t live without their cable are able to choose between providers. “There is no reason that consumers living in apartment buildings should be locked into one service provider,” said Kevin Martin, FCC Chairman. While the cable providers aren’t too happy about this, consumers should turn up happier because they will have the choice to save money by switching to another provider and get what they want for once. Wow, there’s a thought.
