Feed Crier or RSS feeds via instant messengers

Got this from LifeHacker who got it from ResourceShelf, which has a comprehensive review of the service. Have you ever tried Feed Crier? Feed Crier is an on-line service that allows you to receive RSS through your instant messenger.

Feed Crier allows one to receive feed on the following instant messengers:

Jabber
Gtalk
AIM
MSN

The website is easy to navigate and contain the following pages:

Top Feeds
Our Blog
Get Help

Initial impression of Feed Crier is that it is (i) an application/service that can be installed on-line easily. You just provide your IM profile and your instant messenger and (ii)In a sense it not obtrusive. You just have to sit down wait for the latest post to come in.

For me, this seems to be good for (i) news RSS feeds or (ii) project RSS feeds. And this is because you do not need to go to a rss reader or the website. One just has to keep the instant messenger open.

So … What do you think of Feed Crier?
