Feedburner frees up two services
Burning Questions, the official Weblog of Feedburner, has confirmed that (i) FeedBurner Stats PRO and (ii) My Brand, two of it pay-for-services, will now be available for free. (i) PRO is a feed analytics service that allows the owner of the feed to see the “Reach” or an estimate of the subscribers who interacted with the feed content on a daily basis and it also allows the feed owner to see the number of people who clicked and viewed specific items in the feed. (ii) On the other hand My Brand enables the feed address and the domain’s website to be consistent. PRO can be activated by going into the account’s Analyze Tab and proceeding to the Feedburner Stats PRO section to activate it, by clicking the “Item View” check box. According to the post -
To get started with MyBrand, sign into FeedBurner, click the “My Account” link in the upper left-hand corner, and then click “MyBrand”.
The post also mentioned that already “PRO” customers will be not be charged starting June 2007 and when any of the two services are activated a “PRO” badge will beside the feed on the My Feeds page.
Here is the first part of the original post from Burning Questions:
One of the many benefits that FeedBurner publishers will enjoy now that FeedBurner is part of the Google family is a little something we like to call, “more for free!” Beginning today, two of FeedBurner’s previously for-pay services, TotalStats and MyBrand, will be free. Not in the sense of soaring high above the clouds or recently sprung from the hoosegow, but free like you’ll no longer gladly be billed on Tuesday for a burned feed today. We suspect this will be welcome news to the 450,000+ of you using many of our other free services, but understanding that your feed is your feed, you will need to activate these newly freed-up services in order to partake in their awesomeness.
