Feedflare: email, tag and share your feed!
Feedburner just announced a new service to help you make your RSS a “cooler, livelier, happier feed”. It is called FeedFlare and it is a one-step service that enables publishers to configure a very slim “footer” containing customizable actions that will appear beneath each item in a feed. With this service subscribers are given easy ways to email, tag, share, and act on the content you publish. In the words of Feedburner; it helps you to distribute, inform and create a community around your content. Here’s an example of what FeedFlare looks like to a subscriber of the feedburner feed.
In short time Feedburner will launch an open API for adding new FeedFlare services. With the open API it is possble for publishers or third parties to build more sophisticated services into FeedFlare. I think this is a another great idea and Feedburner once again proves that they know what they’re doing!
