Thanks for the hit Tris - The state of food systems today requires the type of dialogue and critical discussion that can best happen through blogging. Food systems are an issue that regarless of where you are: University, coffee shop, home - have direct impact on our lives. Its getting on board to discuss it and learn about that is missing - we either have industry groups, ngo and environmental groups, and some government agencies all pushing their view as best. Mainstream media has so far been unable to make the links between the big issues and food systems thereby loosing those key opportunities to educate readers. The great thing about food is that everyone is an expert of sorts - we ALL eat. So critical discussion and mutual sharing of knowlege amongst all stakeholders (farmers, eaters, policy makers, businesses, teachers, etc..) is a great step forward. Pass the word and get on the blog to comment!
