Feeds from PRWeb
Free on-line press release distribution company PRWeb has announced that it has released around five hundred additional RSS feeds both for global and regional markets:PRWeb Launches More than 500 Additional News Feeds to Extend the Reach of its Online News Release Distribution. This seems to be a good example of refining an rss feed, rather than creating a new one. Grouping and describing under a specific tag, so to speak. And in this particular case by location or place where the news release came from. Here is a list of global or country RSS feeds and here is the list for the regional feeds.
It would be interesting to see if PRWeb can go further and develop new feeds, which are more like this one more focused and specific. Concentrating on areas like subject, specific industry and company to name a few.

Thanks for the post. PRWeb does allow RSS feeds to specific catagories and industries.

Also, PRWeb no longer accepts free releases for distribution.

Thanks for blogging about our announcement. Regarding your hope for more slicing and dicing of content by RSS feeds, it’s been done. Visit http://www.prweb.com/rss.php to see nearly 300 industry/topic focused feeds.
Journalists are an important audience for us and they all have different topics and locations that they write about so providing them with the ability to subscribe to feeds specific to their area of interests is far better for them. Their email inboxes are full of irrelevant press releases. Their RSS readers are not. Far more signal and less noise in the RSS readers. We’re doing what we can to help with that.
Thanks again.

Mario & Joe, Thank you for your comments. I am sure our readers, like myself, will find them informative and helpful.
PRWeb has always had account feeds and what we call Account Group feeds. Depending upon how a PRWeb customer likes to organize their press releases they can be by subject and or company.
Additionally we also have podcast feeds in multiple formats, by account and groups if a customer wishes to make use of these features.
Al, Thank you for the information.
