Feeling Powerless? Take Action!

Do you feel powerless in your job search? If the answer is yes, you must take action. It is not impossible to get a job during these challenging times. However, using traditional job search strategies will make you feel like you are wasting your time and that no one is hiring right now. The truth is there are organizations hiring and you are responsible for bridging the gap between your last job and your next new job.

I found a website with 1500 Job Boards called EmploymentBranding.com. Check it out. I have listed a few interesting Job Boards you will find. Keep in mind that Job Boards are just one resource available to you as a job seeker. Don’t rely on them as your only approach to finding a job. Use it as a resource in your job search strategy. Let me know what you think about this site.

Here are the ones I found most interesting from A-Z:

  1. Nice post. Something like this is a quick glimpse into the endless possibilities and resources in which to learn of new opportunities. I think one of the things that we should discuss in addition to this that will help readers is the process of applying through a job board to ensure that you get success vs. being lost in the black hole of companies’ resume databases. What are your thoughts on that?

  2. Hi Jason,
Excellent idea! Let me chew on that for a day or so. I like it. Too many people rely on the job boards as though the job board is the decision maker or the hands and feet into the organization. Without some assistance from the job seeker, the resume, cover letters do seem to disappear into infinity. Thanks for the suggestion. Watch for it!

  3. I actually was so hot on the subject, I decided to write one. I think if people realize what they are applying to, they would be more careful to where they spent their time. Take a look:

  4. Excellent post Jason! There is excellent information throughout the post!!! Thanks for leaving the link! I will be writing more about what you say in your post here at Interview Chatter!
