Final Fantasy IV DS: First English Voices!
If you’re like me, you’ve played Final Fantasy IV at least once for every release across the years (barring the Wonderswan remake, because come on). By now, you’ve probably decided what the characters sound like. Well, tell your brain to make some room, because the latest trailer for Final Fantasy IV DS matches up the characters with their first English voices.
Oh Cecil. If you don’t straighten up, people are going to start thinking that all Lunarians are…y’know, like you.

It’s interesting to see something like FFIV so changed in aesthetic but (I assume) remain the same in mechanics. Voices are better then I would have guessed as well. Now I have to wrap my American head around remembering to pronounce Cecil’s name properly.
It might be easier to get used to than you think. When I played Castlevania III, I pronounced Alucard’s name as Al-you-card. When Castlevania SOTN came at me with “Al-oo-card” I was like, “No! I refuse!”
I’ve long since assimilated. I am so happy now. Happy-happy–hap—*bzzzzzt*
(Please switch tape to side B)
Did you assimilate, or were you assimilated by some cheap borg? That might explain the tape deck.
