Final Fantasy XIII comes to Xbox 360, Dogs Marry Cats

Videogame Land was long overdue for a good old fashioned coup and it looks like the day has finally arrived. Ladies, gentlemen and everyone else, Final Fantasy XIII will not be a Playstation 3 exclusive. The latest title in Square-Enix’s flagship series will be released on the Xbox 360 as well.

Some fancy-pants New Games Journalists would recommend against me quoting Kotaku, but hell, they’ve more or less summed up my own feelings:

Yes, just take a moment to soak that up. Final Fantasy XIII coming to the Xbox 360. Holy fucking shit. Simultaneous release in Europe and North America with PS3. Wow.

Xbox Japan is being coy with information on whether or not the title is being released on the Japanese Xbox, a console that has the estimated worth of a used staple.

Playstation 3 owners might understandably be upset at losing exclusivity on such a significant game. It’s something, all right. Have a consolation trailer.

Mayhaps this is a sign of the Apocalypse, as it is written in the good book?

And somewhere, Sony’s execs are weeping into their lattes and pressuring those designers to crank out God of War 3.
