Find Small Business Information Online

The Internet is a treasure trove of information on just about any subject. And small business owners can find tons of information from organizations. For example, here are two sources you might want to check out:
Wells Fargo, in connection with Small Business Week, is introducing a Business Insight series of videos on subjects ranging from financing/credit to technology, general management and marketing, and health care. The videos are short but packed with information. I looked at one about health care for self-employed individuals and heard about four possibilities, in under two minutes.
SCORE Community. The SBA partner organization SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives), which has been mentoring and assisting small businesses for many years, has a new “Community” site (co-sponsored by PartnerUp) to help small businesses find information and connect with each other. The Community site allows you to network in several sections:
- People opportunities – finding business connections with other business owners or posting your own connections
- Properties – finding commercial properties available in your area
- Advice – getting answers to your small business questions
- Businesses – connecting with businesses that can provide services to you.
You can post or view opportunities, ask questions of experts, or get on one of the forums. Since it’s new, there isn’t much out there yet, but you may find what you need.
If you use either of these services, let me know what you think.
