Find travel deals via RSS

Bob Tedeschi explains in an article at NYTimes.com what you can do with RSS in the travel industry! He’s telling people that E-mail alerts on travel deals, in particular, can be easy to sign up for and equally difficult to keep up with. Why not create a MyYahoo page and let the deals come to you. With sites like FareCompare.com it allows you to monitor the most current fares for specific flight routes. Other sites that publish RSS feeds are Orbitz.com, Sidestep.com or see Travelocity.com.

Someone who subscribed to several travel-related RSS feeds says in the article: “Just watching the deals provided me a sense of context for how much I can expect to pay… Now, when I see a five-night vacation at Sandals for $1,000, I have some idea whether that’s a good deal or just average.”
