Finding Tax Credits for a Startup

If you are running a startup company, the state your startup resides in can make a big difference. From state to state, tax-credit programs can vary greatly.

In this economy, startups are looking to save money any way they can. For that reason, relocating to take advantage of a state tax-credit program has become commonplace.

One such company that moved recently was VitalMedix, which decided to move from Minnesota to Wisconsin. VitalMedix, a startup in the biotech industry that makes a product that they hope can protect from massive blood loss, was honest about why they made the move.

“Any startup has to look for the most fertile ground for investment. Right now, Wisconsin has a better opportunity than does Minnesota,” told VitalMedix president Jeffrey Williams to MedCityNews.

If you have a startup in a similar situation, don’t be afraid to make the move to help keep your startup company afloat in these trying economic times.
