I just saw this on a 6S Marketing newsletter today, but tomorrow, Jan 9, from 5:30-8:30 PM at YWCA Downtown 4th floor (Welch Room) there will be the first International Internet Marketing Association of the year. These IIMA sessions are directed at people who would like to learn more about various aspects of Internet marketing. Here is the description from the event page:
There is a great deal of hype surrounding “closed loop marketing” and marketing accountability. Closed loop marketing can help maximize marketing dollars, generate more leads, and increase conversion rates. So how does one actually “close the loop” between marketing programs and sales effectiveness?
Join us on January 9th as Rick Patri, VP Client Solutions, Marqui will give an overview of marketing automation and the web content management marketplace, followed by a real life implementation case study. Kevin O’Connell from Radiant Communications will share his own live closed loop campaign from concept to results.
In this action packed event, you’ll learn:
- What is “closed loop marketing” and why should every marketer take notice
- How you can easily run closed loop marketing campaigns from start to finish
- How you can align your sales and marketing teams for improved effectiveness
- How you can accurately and automatically measure ROI to show the impact of marketing campaigns on revenue

I’ve done a couple IIMA sessions myself on blogging, of course. While you might be wondering about the jargon, the speakers are top-notch and the question and answer session should be worth your time alone.
